Pakistan Technical Monitoring for In-Country Service Providers

Objective:

Pakistan Technical Monitoring for In-Country Service Providers

About Project
The English Access Micro Scholarship Program in Pakistan (Access Pakistan), funded by the U.S. Embassy Islamabad is a two-year Pakistan-based scholarship program that provides a foundation of English language skills to bright, underserved Pakistani youth, primarily aged 13 to 20, through after-school classes, enhancement activities, and intensive sessions. The Access Program also supports professional development workshops for Access Program teachers and select student alumni. Through the Access Program, students develop English and leadership skills leading to enhanced educational and professional opportunities preparing them to compete for exchange programs in the U.S. FHI 360 works in coordination with the Regional English Language Office at the U.S. Embassy in Pakistan to implement the program through service agreements issue to in-country educational service providers (providers) who deliver class-room instruction to students through Pakistan.
This monitoring will primarily focus on a review of the classes imparted to students by up to 14 in-country educational service providers in Cohort 1 and up to 16 providers in Cohort 2 throughout Pakistan.

Services Provided:

Momentum collaborated with FHI 360 and RELO teams to develop effective tools for comprehensive technical monitoring. We assessed educational service providers for adherence to service agreements, identifying weaknesses and recommending improvements. This process included reviewing technical implementation, program reports, and instructional materials. Classroom observations and key informant interviews were conducted to ensure quality and gather insights. Results were shared with all service providers, and individualized reports and action plans were provided.
