About Project
Aims to enhance disaster preparedness and response capabilities among educational stakeholders. Under the oversight of CHEF International, authorized representatives conduct regular monitoring visits to assess program implementation progress and review records. The Second Party/Service Provider commits to accommodating these visits at mutually agreed-upon times. Additionally, CHEF International may conduct supportive visits to field locations or the offices of the Second Party/Service Provider to ensure project execution runs smoothly. Although CHEF International reserves the right to conduct unannounced visits if deemed necessary for project oversight. Through these measures, the project endeavors to strengthen disaster resilience within educational settings and communities.

Services Provided:

disaster management, meticulously designed to cater to project personnel stationed in Dera Ismail Khan. This initiative places a strong emphasis on community engagement and has been tailored to enhance disaster management capabilities across various administrative tiers, including district, tehsil, and union council levels. Additionally, the Momentum team conducted specialized training workshops for school staff across the DI Khan district, imparting essential disaster preparedness and response skills to participants and bolstering resilience within the education sector.
Momentum’s structured approach to enhancing disaster resilience and preparedness within communities and educational institutions includes the following essential steps:

  1. Training Needs Analysis (TNA): Conducted thorough analysis to identify training requirements.
  2. Development of Training Outlines: Created detailed outlines to guide training sessions.
  3. Endorsement from Stakeholders: Secured approval and support from relevant stakeholders.
  4. Creation of Guidebooks and Flyers: Developed comprehensive guidebooks and informative flyers in English and Urdu.
  5. Pre- and Post-Training Assessments: Implemented evaluations to measure the effectiveness of the training.
  6. Conducting Training Sessions: Delivered training to over 1,600 students, 64 teachers, and 221 parents on essential DRR concepts and practices.
  7. Specialized Workshops for School Staff, Students, Teachers, and Parents: Conducted targeted workshops to enhance disaster preparedness and response skills.
  8. Community Engagement and Capacity Building: Strengthened disaster management capabilities across various administrative levels.
  9. Comprehensive Reporting and Recommendations: Provided a detailed report along with actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
