About Project
Secure Islamique France (SIF) aims to assist Afghan Refugees and Host Communities through Livelihoods Development Project in Peshawar KPK. The Project will harness the social cohesion and harmony between Afghan Refugees and Host Communities by learning and working together. SIF will focus on a series of activities in support of increased livelihoods opportunities for youth of Afghan refugee and Host community in Peshawar. These activities will include the provision of vocational and technical training, career development counseling (CDC), market linkages development, and enterprise development.
Under this project in order to accomplish the end of career development counseling related component, SIF commissioned a training of trainer’s programme for the career counselors and community based career counselling representatives. Under this training program the core aim is to develop community trainers and career counselors, in a manner that they can take care of the career counselling and inculcation of skills for employability related parameters of community development.

Services Provided:

Momentum provided comprehensive training and capacity-building support to the Livelihood Improvement Program, focusing on developing effective career counseling skills. Our experts developed 11 comprehensive manuals and conducted a six-day training of trainers (TOT) program to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and tools.

 

  1. Training Manual Development: Our team of experts prepared 11 detailed manuals covering various aspects of career counseling, including:
    • How to Set Up a Bank Account
    • How to Identify Employment Opportunities
    • How to Interview for a Job
    • How to Write a CV
    • Communications
    • Conflict Resolution
    • Assertiveness
    • Decision Making
    • Time Management
    • Financial Management
    • Basic – Functional Literacy
  2. TOT Program: A six-day training of trainers program was conducted to equip participants with the skills and knowledge to deliver effective career counseling training. The program focused on training methodologies, curriculum development, and facilitation techniques.
  3. Training Needs Assessment: Prior to the TOT, a comprehensive training needs assessment was conducted to identify the specific needs and priorities of the participants.
  4. Training Design: Based on the needs assessment, a tailored training curriculum was designed to address the identified gaps and ensure relevance to the participants’ roles and responsibilities.
  5. Pre-Training Preparations: Necessary preparations were made, including securing a suitable venue, preparing training materials, and coordinating logistics.
  6. Training Delivery: The TOT program was delivered by experienced trainers using interactive and engaging methodologies. Participants were actively involved in group discussions, role-playing exercises, and case studies.
  7. Training Evaluation: A comprehensive evaluation was conducted to assess the effectiveness of the training program. Feedback was gathered from participants to identify areas for improvement and measure the impact of the training on their skills and knowledge.Impact and Significance:

    The training program provided participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to become effective career counselors. By equipping them with the tools and techniques to deliver high-quality training, the program contributed to enhancing the capacity of the Livelihood Improvement Program to support individuals in their career development. This, in turn, has a positive impact on the overall economic well-being of the communities served by the program
